About the Designer
Living most of her life in New York City, jewelry designer Gina Lu's fundamental inspirations are delicate, ladylike, timeless shapes. Jemma Lulu Jewelry began in 2000 when she brought a small collection to the exclusive Ron Herman Store in Beverly Hills and the buyer placed an order after their first meeting. From that point on, Gina explored the jewelry markets of Los Angeles, Tucson, Bangkok and Bali, then she finally settled back in the Manhattan. Her business flourished after meeting an executive at Vogue who fell in love with her designs and ignited even more of a passion to adorn stylish women.
Gina applies her experiences from her jewelry studies in Brooklyn, Florence (Italy), and a grassroots workshop in Taxco (Mexico) into each of her pieces. Nowadays, her inspiration mostly comes from living in the heart of New York City. Jemma Lulu women are understated, glamourous women who want something different. Her designs have been worn by Rachel Weisz, Mena Suvari, Kelly Ripa, and others. She has had her pieces featured in the prestigious InStyle, W, Esquire, Glamour, Lucky, and Us Weekly magazines, among others.
Gina caters to many private clients across the United States and internationally. In between seeing clients and designing new pieces, she spends her time raising four wonderful children and a labrador with her husband, Dennis.
